I was reading a feature in a magazine recently, that had the A-Z of high street fashion. And I was expecting G to stand for Green, as in green fashion that many fashion houses are leaning toward nowadays.
But no, instead it stood for G Star Clothing. Now, I have nothing against G Star, but really that letter should've been an opportunity to talk about various green issues that fashion is waking up to.
Selfridges at the moment have dedicated all their window displays to Project Ocean, to raise awareness of the drastic impact fishing is having on our seas, and how many fish will soon be extinct due to over-fishing.
They even have an interactive window where if you pay a donation by text you get to see a fish released down a tube especially for you, to join the display and the amazing dead coral sea bed installation on the corner site with Orchard St.
